At Ariam Shed, the safety and wellbeing of our participants, volunteers, and visitors is a top priority. We are committed to providing a safe environment while allowing everyone to enjoy practical, hands-on activities.
All participants are expected to follow instructions from facilitators and act responsibly.
Activities may involve tools, equipment, and materials that carry some risk.
Each activity will be assessed for potential hazards before sessions.
Hazards may include tools, woodworking equipment, furniture restoration materials, and lifting heavy items.
Participants must use tools and equipment as instructed.
Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, goggles, or masks, must be worn where required.
A first aid kit is available on-site.
Any injuries or incidents should be reported immediately to the workshop facilitator.
In case of serious injury, emergency services will be contacted.
Facilitators will explain fire exits, evacuation routes, and emergency procedures at the start of each session.
Participants must follow all safety instructions in an emergency.
Take care of your own safety and that of others.
Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to the facilitator.
Do not use equipment you are unsure about without guidance.
Visitors or first-time attendees must receive a brief safety introduction before using any tools or equipment.
Participation is at the individual’s own risk if equipment is used.
Note: While we aim to minimize risks, participation in Ariam Shed's workshop activities involves inherent hazards. By attending, participants accept these risks and agree to follow the safety guidance provided.
